Harold C. Johnson Scholarship Fund

Harold C. Johnson was inducted into the TC Central Hall of Fame and was a Traverse City resident. Though his life was shortened by cancer, he demonstrated great commitment to being of service to his community. He was a Rotarian, a Boy Scout volunteer, and performed music throughout his life – starting with a dance band at the Park Place in the 1950s, Air Force Band leader at the Cherry Festivals in the 1980s, and his last performance was conducting the 2004 TC Rotary show. He died later that year.

The Harold C. Johnson Scholarship supports graduating seniors from Traverse City Central High School who have demonstrated achievement in music, community service, and leadership.
