The Edith A. Krause Memorial Endowment is a permanent, named endowment, to support individuals in need through annual grant awards to the Women’s Resource Center – Grand Traverse Area.

Edith Krause survived a difficult childhood and humble beginnings. Despite her past, throughout adulthood, Edith worked hard and did well for herself.

Throughout her life, she supported a variety of causes, including land conservancies, her church, and individuals that were less fortunate. Those close to her, say she was thoughtful in ways big and small.

Edith died on October 2, 2012 at 95. A gift from her trust provided for the creation of the Edith A. Krause Memorial Endowment.

Edith’s wish was to support needy and abused individuals. Today, Edith is supporting those that are less fortunate through an annual grant award to the Women’s Resource Center.
