We recently awarded $394,051 in grants to 67 organizations across Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau Counties and the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.

With a mission to improve the lives of Native American peoples, families, and communities through legal assistance and advocacy, Michigan Indian Legal Services—one of our recent grant partners—has been serving the northwestern Michigan area since 1975.

The Community Foundation’s Anchor and Heart Endowment has awarded a $110,325 grant to Munson Healthcare Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital, supporting the Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center (POLAR).

The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation recently awarded $385,075 in scholarships to 205 high school seniors, college students, and trade school students across the five-county region.

The Community Foundation has been selected to serve as Press Forward Northern Michigan—the local Northern Michigan chapter of Press Forward, a national movement to strengthen our democracy by revitalizing local news and information.

The Community Foundation has awarded a total of $615,000 to organizations across the region through the Wilfred and Joan Larson Endowment, including $110,000 to local schools to support student scholarships.
