Biography

Joan grew up, and raised her own family, in Leelanau County (Suttons Bay) and now resides in Traverse City. She joined the Community Foundation staff in 2001 as a part-time clerical assistant and is scheduled for three days each week. She truly enjoys her behind-the-scenes role and is happy to be the chief cheerleader for staff members who have roles interacting with the public.

Favorite Places in the Region

"Sidewalks in Traverse City, Lake Michigan beaches, and the new Boardman Lake Loop Trail are just some of the places where I enjoy walking with family and friends. I also treasure time spent relaxing at home in our big backyard, admiring the flowers and watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks."
